Paris FC brings their A game too late against Amiens

paris fcParis FC played well away against an improving Amiens team. Unfortunately for the Paris side, they decided to play well in the last 30 minutes of the game. By that time, Amiens had already scored two goals, one of those a penalty (because of a poor challenge by midfielder Abdoulaye Diawara), and they played catch-up the rest of the game.

David Pollet, who was brought on as a substitute for Abdoulaye Diawara at halftime, continues to impress this season. He scored a beautiful goal in the 75th minute. But that goal should have been the equalizer, as a few minutes before he knocked a shot off the left post.

Pollet needs to find a regular spot on the team. In the last few games he has been brought on as a sub or has been replaced. Still, when Pollet is on the pitch, you can see a change in PFC’s attack. In the first half, PFC looked horrible, letting the Amiens strikers run right through the PFC defense.

But when the second half started, PFC started to look like the offensive team, having a number of chances up front. Still, this road trip should have been at least a draw and Jean-Marc Pilorget must be disappointed that his team left Amiens with zero points.
